Make calls with the Telecaller

Set up a voice agent, test it with a real call, run campaigns with retries and calling hours, and review every call afterwards.

What the Telecaller does

A Telecaller is a voice agent that places outbound phone calls and holds a natural conversation. You give it a persona, a voice and a language. Then you can test-call it, run it over a contact list as a campaign, or let a Cue or Nest workflow decide whom to call.

During a call it can book, move and cancel appointments in Cue, and transfer to a number you listed (never to another). Every call is transcribed, summarised and metered.

Open it at https://tron.oroe.ai/t/telecaller.

Before you start: voice calling setup

A Telecaller needs a telephony line connected to Tron before it can dial. Until that’s done, Tron shows this notice wherever a button would place a call:

Voice calling is not configured Tron cannot place calls until the voice credentials are saved.

The Call Now and Start Call buttons stay disabled while the notice shows. On Campaigns, starting a campaign is blocked with the message “Voice calling is not configured yet — add the missing credentials in Settings first.”

To enable voice calling for your workspace, email support@oroe.ai. We’ll help you connect a line.

Good to know You can still build agents, flows and campaigns before calling is enabled. Nothing dials until the line is connected.

Create a Telecaller agent

  1. Go to https://tron.oroe.ai/t/telecaller/agents and select New Agent.
  2. Pick a Purpose preset (optional). The presets include Sales Agent, Support Agent, Survey Bot, Reminder, COD Confirmation, Appointment Confirmer, Lead Qualifier, Feedback Caller and Wellness Check.
  3. Write the Persona / System Prompt. Keep answers short: it’s a phone call, not an email.
  4. Optional: add a Greeting Text (optional) for the opening line.
  5. In Voice, choose a TTS Model, a Voice and a Language. Use Preview Voice to hear it.
  6. In Conversation, choose a Personality / Tone and set Max Call Duration (seconds) (between 30 and 3600).
  7. Select Save Agent.

Telecaller settings on the agent

These live in the Telecaller settings card of the builder.

Setting What it does
Say it is an AI assistant Adds a line to the opening so the person knows they’re talking to an AI assistant. On by default.
Business name in the disclosure Used in the opening, for example “calling on behalf of Sharma Dental”.
Closing line at the time limit Spoken just before hanging up at the maximum duration.
Numbers the agent may transfer to Up to 10 numbers in international format. The transfer tool refuses anything else.
Default Cue service for bookings Used when the caller wants to book and doesn’t name a service.
Speech provider sarvam for Indian languages, or deepgram cartesia, deepgram elevenlabs or openai for global voices.
Voice id (non-Sarvam providers) The voice to use with a non-Sarvam provider.
Research before calls A Research Agent that prepares a brief on each contact before workflows and campaigns dial.

Note Speech provider keys go in Telecaller settings at https://tron.oroe.ai/t/telecaller/settings, under the Voice Engine tab. An OpenAI key goes in Platform settings under AI Models.

Listen to voices in the Voice Lab

  1. Open Voice Lab at https://tron.oroe.ai/t/telecaller/voices.
  2. Choose a TTS Model and a Language.
  3. Type your own Preview Text, or pick a sample.
  4. Select a voice to hear it speak. Filter by All, Female or Male.

Place a test call

Test calls connect a real phone and incur telephony charges.

  1. Open Test Call at https://tron.oroe.ai/t/telecaller/test-call.
  2. Choose the Agent.
  3. Enter the Phone Number in full international format, for example +919876543210.
  4. Select Start Call, then Call now to confirm.

The Call Activity panel shows progress as it happens: Call started — dialling, Answered — conversation live, Call ended. You can also test from the agent builder’s Test Call card once the agent is saved.

Design a conversation flow (optional)

A flow gives a call a set structure. Without one, the persona drives the conversation.

  1. Open Flows at https://tron.oroe.ai/t/telecaller/flows.
  2. Select New Flow, or Start from template if templates are available.
  3. Drag nodes from Node Types onto the canvas and connect them. Node types include Greeting, Speak, Listen, LLM Response, Branch (Intent), Branch (Keyword), Branch (Sentiment), Set Variable, Webhook, Transfer, Wait and End Call.
  4. Select a node to edit it under Node Properties.
  5. Select Save, then Validate to check the saved version.
  6. In the agent builder, choose the flow under Conversation Flow (optional).

Run a campaign

A campaign dials a list of numbers with one agent.

  1. Open Campaigns at https://tron.oroe.ai/t/telecaller/campaigns and select New Campaign.
  2. Details: enter a Campaign Name, choose the Agent, and set Max Concurrent Calls (1–20) and Retry Attempts (0–5).
  3. Contacts: enter Phone Numbers one per line in international format, or use Or Upload CSV with a “phone” column. Fix any invalid numbers before you continue.
  4. Schedule: optionally set Start Time (optional) and End Time (optional). Set Calling Hours Start, Calling Hours End and Retry Interval (minutes) (at least 15).
  5. Review the summary, then select Create Campaign.
  6. Select Start and confirm with Start campaign.

The defaults are 3 concurrent calls, 2 retries, a 60-minute retry interval and calling hours of 09:00–18:00.

You can Pause and Resume a campaign at any time. Open it to see Total Contacts, Calls Made, Connected and Connection Rate, the Call Results table, Export CSV and Cancel campaign.

Good to know Tron also respects quiet hours in each contact’s region, on top of your calling hours.
