Build your website

Create a complete draft website from your business details, then refine any page in Studio or with Edit with Pulse, and roll back with version history.

Three ways to start

Open Cue Pages at https://cue.oroe.ai/cue-pages. Under All pages you have two buttons:

  • Build with Pulse creates a whole website (usually four connected pages) from your business details, using one of Cue’s designed templates.
  • Create Page opens a chooser where you can start the website builder, make a Single landing page, or build by hand in Studio Mode.

Most businesses should start with Build with Pulse. You get a finished, properly designed website to react to, instead of a blank page.

Build a website from your business details

  1. In Cue Pages, select Build with Pulse. The page headed Tell Pulse about your business opens.
  2. If you run more than one business, choose it under Business.
  3. Optionally, fill in Anything Pulse should know? with a line or two about tone or emphasis, for example “Friendly, calm tone. Highlight our Saturday openings.” Leave it empty to work from your business profile alone.
  4. Optionally, pick a Style (a specific template) or a Design expert (one of Cue’s eight design styles). Leave both on Let Pulse choose if you’re not sure. See Templates and design styles.
  5. Check the What Pulse already knows panel. It shows whether your services, team members, opening hours and branding are set. Filling the gaps first gives a better result.
  6. Select Build my website with Pulse. This usually takes under a minute.

When it’s ready, you see every page in a live preview:

  • Switch between pages using the tabs along the top.
  • Use Desktop, Tablet and Mobile to check each screen size.
  • Select Open in Studio to fine-tune the page you’re looking at.
  • Select Regenerate to adjust your brief and rebuild the site. Pages you edited by hand are kept.
  • Select Publish site when you’re happy. Every page goes live, and View live site takes you to it.

Good to know The design, layout and structure come from Cue’s professionally designed templates. Pulse fills them in with your business details, such as your name, services, hours and branding, and drafts the wording. Always read the copy through before you publish, and correct anything that isn’t right for your business.

Note If your business already has a website, the button reads Rebuild my website with Pulse. Choosing a different template over an existing site asks you to confirm with Replace and import. Pages you created or edited by hand are kept.

Edit a page in Studio

Studio is Cue’s full page editor. Open it by selecting Edit on any page card in All pages, or Open in Studio from the website preview.

  1. Add content from the Blocks panel on the left. Blocks are grouped into Smart (live blocks such as Services, Booking, Reviews, Team, Newsletter and Contact), Layout (such as Section, Columns and Spacer) and Content (such as Heading, Text, Button, Image, Gallery, Pricing and Map).
  2. Select a block on the canvas to change its content and style in the panel on the right.
  3. Use Layers to see the structure of your page and reorder blocks.
  4. With nothing selected, the right-hand Global panel holds page-wide Colors, Typography, Layout and SEO settings.
  5. Select Save to keep your draft, Preview to open it in a new tab, and Publish (or Update, once it’s live) to put your changes online.

Useful extras in the top toolbar:

  • Undo and redo arrows for recent changes.
  • Desktop, tablet and mobile views.
  • Classic and Live canvas modes. Classic is the block editor; Live shows the page through the same renderer your visitors see.
  • Zoom, a layout grid (press G), and a list of keyboard shortcuts (press ?).

Tip Smart blocks stay up to date on their own. Add a new service in Appointment Scheduling, and the Services block on your website shows it too.

Edit with Pulse

For quick changes you can describe in words, select Pulse on a page card. The page opens in a live preview with a Pulse panel beside it.

  1. Select a block on the page to pin it.
  2. Say what you’d like changed, for example “make this headline shorter” or “swap the image and text sides”. You can also rewrite text directly, hide a block on mobile or remove it.
  3. Review the result. Edits save to your draft automatically, and Undo reverses the last change.
  4. Select Publish when you’re ready. Cue shows you what’s changed before it goes live.

Version history

Every time you publish a page, Cue keeps that version. To go back:

  1. Open the page in Studio and select History.
  2. Find the version you want. The one visitors currently see is marked Published.
  3. Select Restore to draft and confirm.

Restoring replaces your current draft but doesn’t change your live page. Publish again when you’re ready.
