Team and permissions

Invite colleagues to your shared inbox and use roles to decide what each person can see and do.

How team access works

Relay uses the same team as the rest of your Oroe workspace. Everyone you invite gets a role, and the role decides what they can do in Relay: which channels they can see, whether they can reply, and which settings they can change.

You’ll find all of this under Settings, then Teams & Permissions (https://relay.oroe.ai/settings/teams). It has three tabs: Members, Invitations and Roles.

Invite someone

  1. Open Settings, then Teams & Permissions.
  2. Select Invite Member.
  3. Enter their Email Address.
  4. Choose a Role.
  5. Select Send Invitation.

They’ll get an email with a link to join. Until they accept, the invitation waits in the Invitations tab, where you can select Revoke to cancel it.

Tip If they’re new to Oroe, point them to Getting started so they can set up their account.

See and remove members

The Members tab lists everyone with access, their role, and whether they can reach Email and Messenger.

To take someone off the team, select Remove and confirm. They lose access to your workspace’s Relay inbox straight away. You can’t remove yourself, and the only member of a workspace can’t be removed.

Roles

The Roles tab lists the roles you can give people. The built-in roles come from your Oroe account and are shared with the rest of the suite, so their names match what you see elsewhere in Oroe.

Select View permissions beside a role to see exactly what it allows.

Create your own role

If none of the built-in roles fits, make one:

  1. Open the Roles tab and select Create Custom Role.
  2. Give it a Role Name and, if you like, a Description.
  3. In the permission table, tick View, Edit or Delete for each area.
  4. Select Create Role.

The table covers these areas:

Area What it controls
Email Channel Reading email conversations, replying, and removing them
Messenger Channel Reading and replying to Facebook Messenger conversations
Analytics The Analytics page
Email Accounts Connecting and disconnecting email accounts
Teams & Permissions Inviting people and managing roles

In general, View lets someone look, Edit lets them act (such as sending a reply or changing a setting), and Delete lets them remove things.

To change a custom role later, select Edit role beside it, adjust the ticks and select Update Role. To remove it, select Delete role and confirm.

Good to know A support teammate who only answers customers usually needs View and Edit on the channels they cover, and nothing under settings.
