Forms and submissions
Build contact, enquiry and intake forms, share them as a link or embed them on any website, review every response, and send new contacts to Nest.
Your forms
Open Custom Forms at https://cue.oroe.ai/custom-forms. There are three tabs:
- Forms lists every form you’ve made, with whether it’s live or a draft.
- Submissions shows every response your forms have received.
- Analytics gives you totals and recent activity.
To make a new form, select Create Form. To change one, select it in the list.
Note The number of forms you can create depends on your plan. If you reach the limit, Cue offers an upgrade. See Plans, usage and billing.
Build a form
- Give your form a name at the top, and add a description if you like.
- Add fields from the Add Fields panel on the left. Click a field to add it to the end of your form, or drag it to exactly where you want it.
- Select any field on the form to edit it in Field Settings on the right.
- Select Save Form (or press Ctrl+S).
Field types
| Group | Fields |
|---|---|
| Basic | Short Text, Long Text, Number, Email, Phone |
| Date & Time | Date, Time |
| Choice | Dropdown, Multi-Select, Radio, Checkbox |
| Special | File Upload, Signature, Rating |
| Layout | Heading, Paragraph, Divider, Section |
Layout items don’t collect answers. They help you break a long form into readable parts.
Field settings
For each field you can set:
- Label, Placeholder and Help Text (short instructions shown with the field).
- Required, so the form can’t be sent without it.
- Options, for dropdowns, multi-selects, radio buttons and checkboxes.
- Validation, such as Min Length and Max Length for text, or Minimum and Maximum for numbers.
- Width, so two short fields can sit side by side.
Show or hide fields based on answers
Use Conditional Logic to keep forms short and relevant. For example, only ask for a pet’s breed if someone answers “Yes” to “Do you have a pet?”.
- Select the field you want to show or hide.
- Under Conditional Logic, turn on Enable conditions.
- Choose Show or Hide, then whether all or any of the conditions must match.
- Add a condition: pick the field to check, how to compare it, and the value.
Multi-step forms
Long forms feel easier when they’re split into pages.
- Select the settings button to open Form Settings.
- Under Layout, turn on Multi-Step Form (Split form into multiple pages).
- Select Add Step for each new page, then use Move to Step in a field’s settings to put it on the right page.
- To send people down different paths, open a step’s branching rules and add a rule under Branching Rules, for example “when Service is Colour, Jump to the colour questions”.
You can also set Display Mode to One at a time, which shows a single question per screen, or keep Classic to show everything together.
Style your form
In Form Settings you can also change:
- Appearance: Background Color, and whether to Show Form Title and Show Description.
- Labels and Input Fields: colours, sizes, borders, padding, and hover and focus states.
- Submit Button: Button Text and colours.
- Submission: a Thank You Message shown after someone submits.
- Stack Columns At: the screen size at which side-by-side fields stack on top of each other.
Use the desktop, tablet and mobile buttons to check your form on every screen size.
Publish and share
- Open Form Settings and find Publish & Share.
- Under Custom URL, choose the address, for example
/form/free-consultation. Use lowercase letters, numbers and hyphens. - Select Publish Form.
Once your form is live, Publish & Share gives you three ways to use it:
- Public Link: a page just for your form at
https://cue.oroe.ai/form/your-form. Select Copy to share it by email, social media or a QR code. - Iframe Embed: a snippet you paste into any website to show the form inside a page.
- JavaScript Embed: an alternative snippet for website builders that prefer scripts.
Under URL Parameters, you can add ?hideTitle=true to hide the form’s title, or ?theme=dark to use a dark theme. This is handy when the page around your form already has a heading.
To change the address later, use Change URL and select Update. Links to the old address will stop working. To take a form offline, select Unpublish Form.
Tip Before you publish, you can open a private preview link that only you can access, to test the form end to end.
Review submissions
Open the Submissions tab.
- Use Filter by form to see one form’s responses, or All Forms.
- Switch between Cards and Table views.
- In the table, sort any column and filter by its values. Select Clear Filters to start again.
- Select Export CSV to download responses for a spreadsheet.
- Select Refresh to check for new responses.
The Analytics tab shows Total Forms, Total Submissions, Published Forms and Avg per Form, plus Submissions by Form and Recent Activity.
Send new contacts to Nest
