Team and roles

Invite colleagues to Cue, give them the right level of access with built-in or custom roles, and manage pending invitations.

Where to find it

Select Team & Permissions at the bottom of the Cue sidebar, or go to https://cue.oroe.ai/team. You’ll see it if you own the business, or if your role includes team permissions.

The page has two sides:

  • Team Members and Pending Invitations on the left.
  • Roles on the right, where you decide what each kind of team member can do.

Good to know Cue’s team settings are for Cue itself. For inviting people to your Oroe workspace as a whole, see Invite your team.

Built-in roles

Cue comes with three roles you can use straight away:

Role What they can do
Viewer See everything in appointments, forms, pages and team, but not create, edit or delete anything.
Editor View and change everything in appointments, forms and pages. Create appointments, forms, pages, staff, services and locations. Can’t delete items or manage the team.
Manager Full control, including deleting, business settings, CSV exports and team management.

The business owner always has full access.

Invite someone

  1. On the Team Members tab, select Invite Member (or Invite Team Member if nobody has joined yet).
  2. Enter their email address, for example colleague@company.com.
  3. Choose a role under Select a role….
  4. Select Send Invitation.

They’ll get an email with a link to join. Until they accept, they appear under Pending Invitations, where you can resend the invitation or cancel it. Invitations that weren’t accepted in time are marked Expired; just resend a fresh one.

Change someone’s role or remove them

On the Team Members tab:

  • Use the role menu next to a person to give them a different role. The change applies straight away.
  • Select Remove to take away their access to Cue. You can’t remove the owner or yourself.

Create a custom role

If the built-in roles don’t fit, make your own. For example, a “Front desk” role that can manage appointments but not touch the website.

  1. Under Roles, select Create Custom Role (or Create Role if you have none yet).
  2. Give the role a name, for example “Senior Staff”, and an optional description.
  3. Tick the permissions it should have. They’re grouped by area, such as appointments, staff, services, locations, forms, pages and team.
  4. Select Create Role.

To change a custom role later, select it and choose Update Role when you’re done.

What your team sees

Cue shows each person only what their role allows. Someone with no forms permissions won’t see Custom Forms in the sidebar at all, and someone with view-only access sees pages and settings but can’t change them.

Tip Give people the smallest role that lets them do their job. You can always widen it later.
